I went to ACME to get cold cuts for my lunches at work, just cheese and turkey, nothing special. While the deli guy was slicing away, he asked me if today was the 30th. I said “no, the 29th”, and he kind of made some signs of relief, so I asked “why, did it [the turkey] expire?” He thought it was pretty funny, and said “that was a good one”, but no, the cuts were ok, he just had to do something after work that had to be taken care of before the 30th.
Can’t blame a girl for worrying about her meat and dairy.
